Re: Write to file
I think that im receiving this error because TC sees my grid as an object and im trying to write it as string. Im using the msgbox control just to see if im displaying the right data. Set browser2 = Aliases.WinOrbit.FrameForm.ctl_panelMain.ctl_panelWork.HeaderControl.CustomerWorkspace.pnlBrowse.tabWorkspace.TabPage.SupportApplicationControl.panel1.tabControl.TabPage.BrowserControl.containerPanel.SupportApplicationWebBrowser.WebBrowserBaseNativeWindow.ShellDocObjectView.browser.pageViewCustomerOrders.formAspnetform.panelContainer.table.cell.panel.panelCtl00Updatepanel1.panelContent.panelDialogbody.panel.tableCtl00BodyGrdorders.cell adding ".link105015" to the above code, at the end, would give me the cell that i want to be in, but i figured that if i cut it off at "cell" then it would cater for all the different orders numbers in it, not just 105015. msgbox browser2 but once i have the right info, i wont be using that msgbox, just for test pruposes. Anyway, the thing that i am trying to get right is, to get the info out of that specific cell, whether it be the drag option, or something like the above where i can go into the cell, or any other method, then write that to a text file, everything else works besides getting that cell info.1.4KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Write to file
Yeah i can't get that method working...but found something that brings me closer to where i am supposed to be. Aliases.WinOrbit.FrameForm.ctl_panelMain.ctl_panelWork.HeaderControl.CustomerWorkspace. pnlBrowse.tabWorkspace.TabPage.SupportApplicationControl.panel1.tabControl.TabPage. BrowserControl.containerPanel.SupportApplicationWebBrowser.WebBrowserBaseNativeWindow. ShellDocObjectView.browser.pageViewCustomerOrders.formAspnetform.panelContainer.table.cell. panel.panelCtl00Updatepanel1.panelContent.panelDialogbody.panel.tableCtl00BodyGrdorders.cell.link105015 is what i am supposed to display, or the contents of that cell...well, i receive this error: object doesnt support this property or method. Can i convert this to string somehow?1.4KViews0likes0CommentsWrite to file
Hey There, I need a method that copy and pastes some text from a webpage, stores it in a variable, and that variable will be used to write to a text file. It seems simple, i just cant figure it out. Sorry for the noob question. I have provided a pic, and i need the order numbers to be copied out and written to a text file, i got the write to method right...I have used that checkpoint option but as new orders come in, the script will fail because TC will be looking for the exact value, that being: Aliases.WinOrbit.FrameForm.ctl_panelMain.ctl_panelWork.HeaderControl.CustomerWorkspace.pnlBrowse.tabWorkspace.TabPage.SupportApplicationControl.panel1.tabControl.TabPage.BrowserControl.containerPanel.SupportApplicationWebBrowser.WebBrowserBaseNativeWindow.ShellDocObjectView.browser.pageViewCustomerOrders.formAspnetform.panelContainer.table.cell.panel.panelCtl00Updatepanel1.panelContent.panelDialogbody.panel.tableCtl00BodyGrdorders.cell.link105015 So as you can see,BodyGrdorders.cell.link105015, 105015 would be a problem because the order numbers change everytime, im trying to make this as dynamic as possible to cater for all, or different order numbers Regards12KViews0likes6CommentsRe: Wait On IE To Load Completely
Is there a way where we don't need to hard code the amount of time needed for the webpage to open? I want TC to detect when the page is loaded and not time down from 20 seconds, something similar to the browser.wait function, only the browser.wait function doesn't wait as long as it should, playback stops prematurely.1.2KViews0likes0CommentsRe: ClickItem() of drop down menu doesn't trigger related event on web page
I think i came across the same problem, but what i did instead, was store each name in the drop down menu in a DB. what you can do to get past this problem is to record a keyword test, click on the drop down menu/combo box, click on menu1. stop the recording. then go to the line where you click on menu1, create a DDT, set up all you DB connections and entries and variables, click next a couple until you come to the option of "hard-coded value", and select the DB column. Once that is complete, you can convert that key word to a script and fit it into your script at whatever part it should be.738Views0likes0CommentsCannot map the proper namer
Hi all, Scenario: I cannot map the full name of the specific object. Is there a method for me to extract the words "Approve Pending SalesOrder"? I have provided a picture, its in the blue bar. I need to extract it because i want to search for it on the page and accept the task, if not, i cannot verify whether the mouse click is good enough, because i have to hope that its on the specific bar. I have used the object finder, it returns the address but not the actual words: Sys.Process("WinOrbit"). WinFormsObject("FrameForm"). WinFormsObject("ctl_panelMain" ).WinFormsObject("ctl_ panelWork").WinFormsObject(" HeaderControl", "Customer Workspace").WinFormsObject(" CustomerWorkspace"). WinFormsObject("pnlBrowse"). WinFormsObject("tabWorkspace") .WinFormsObject("TabPage", "Tasks").WinFormsObject(" TaskManagement"). WinFormsObject("tcMain"). WinFormsObject(" tpCurrentTasks"). WinFormsObject(" splitContainer1"). WinFormsObject("SplitterPanel" , "", 1).WinFormsObject(" tasksAndActions"). WinFormsObject(" lcTasksAndActions") So in short, i am going to store the name "Approve Pending SalesOrder" in a database, write a method to search for the name on the page, then accept the task. The reason why i cant rely on the mouse click is because orders are constantly made, and the "Approve Pending SalesOrder" bar might shift to a different section on the page(the xy axis is not good practice for what i want to do).
