Re: TestComplete 8. Activation.
In David's first reply above, he recommends going to a particular website link. (David: "This is a known problem.1. In Internet Explorer, openthis page.") As of November 2012, that is a broken link. If you are upgrading from TC8 to TC9, the license manager program MUST be upgraded as well. The old TC8 license manager will not work. As I had to figure this out on my own, I wanted to post it here so others would know. DAVID (or other Forum Administrators) - you may want to edit your post above so that it no longer contains incorrect information. Because the info was no longer correct, I ended up on a wild goose chase. Good luck to anyone running into the error:hasp_act_activate 3010. If TestComplete is still unable to handle Chrome and Safari, please update the DB request for these. Safari is a big deal - it's the underlying browser for the iPad. Any serious web app in this day and age needs to work on Firefox, IE, Safari (ipad), and Chrome (android).2.1KViews0likes0CommentsHow do I call a variable checkpoint name from Excel inside a Data Loop?
I have a keyword data loop that uses an Excel spreadsheet to enter some data, do a region checkpoint, then return to a valid starting state before looping. I’m using variables (data from Excel) to fill in the data, but I can’t figure out how to call a Region Checkpoint by a filename contained in the Excel file. How can I use the Excel file to supply the name of the region checkpoint? TestComplete 8.2. Microsoft Office Excel 2007. We are using many table checkpoints in our keyword tests. Occasionally we change the table structure so there are more or fewer columns than in the original table checkpoint. I would like to automatically recreate existing table checkpoints so new columns are included and old ones are removed. Running a test with ‘update tables’ selected updates the *data* in the table, but not the table structure itself. Table checkpoints fail with “Foo column not found” even if I’ve gone to the table data editor and deselected all data values in the no-longer-existing column. How can I run a test and update all tables (including which columns exist) during the test? Thanks for your help. Chuck10KViews0likes1Comment
