Re: How do I pull data from the DOM to use in database verification?
The URL containinig the patientid is only visible in the request - the end user never sees that particular URL: User: "webpage.com/meds" Request: "webpage.com/meds/12345" I would still have to pull it from the DOM somehow - which is causing insanity at this point.1.7KViews0likes1CommentHow do I pull data from the DOM to use in database verification?
Our company has developed a healthcare web application. One of the functions is to refill medications. In order to verify that the medications displayed on the page match the medications in the database, I need to query SQL. In order to match meds to a patient, the query requires the patientid. The only place I can see to pull this from (without hard-coding) is from the DOM. On the page request, the patientid is used (see attached screen shot, highlighted text). I need to pull this id so that I can query the database and run verification. Does anybody have a good way to pull this from the DOM? Telerik Test Studio was able to do this with little problem, so i am assuming that TestComplete can do the same. The online documentation did not help much. Any help would be appreciated!!! Has anybody had issues with the browser envoking during an automated test when using Chrome? On several scripts, the Chrome browser never loads / displays. This seems to occur with multiple Chrome proccesses are running. Keep in mind, these are not individual Chrome windows open, rather multiple proccesses caused by Chrome extensions. Thoughts on this? Is there a work around (other than killing all Chrome processess prior to script run) or is this a product defect that needs to be addressed? Thanks in advance!!1.2KViews0likes4Comments
