I've added our custom class to the object mapping preferences (screenshot http://jmp.sh/o1qmJ0A) and I'm noticing some odd behaviour after doing so. I'll record a new test where I'll click on three tabs. When I look at the result, test complete has only actually recorded the first click. If I append to it and click the 2nd and 3rd click it will just record the first of the two and so on. Playing back appears to be no issue however. Re: Conditional name mapping not working? Yes there is a 2nd process however that's by design and not a mistake. Any suggestions on how to account for this? Re: Conditional name mapping not working? Yes that's the message I get. the only two applications running are Setup.exe and Test Complete (or test execute). These are usuually running on completelly clean installs of windows and do not have anything else installed. I'm open to ideas if you have any thought on how to work around this. Re: Conditional name mapping not working? There are not multiple versions of the proces. If I reboot the machine and run the setup.exe the index could be 1, 2, 3 or 4. Reboot again and it could be 2, reboot again and it could be 2 again or it may be 1 or 4. You're correct that it doesn't sound right but that's what it does. Re: Conditional name mapping not working? Here's the other weird thing. It's currently setup like this Process = Setup and Index = 4 or Index = 3 or Index = 2 or Index = 1 And it doesn't work, however if I set it up like this Process = Setup and Index = 4 It does work (until the index isn't 4) Re: Conditional name mapping not working? Thanks for the reply, It's an integer, I've also tried it with a string. Conditional name mapping not working? I'm testing an install for our product and the index displays different values based on a few factors but the index is always 1, 2, 3 or 4. I've tried using attributes other than the index but it give me an error that the other attributes aren't specific enough. So I tried setting up a conditional name map like the one attached (Index = 1 or index = 2 or index =3 or index=4,) and it's unable to find the object. However if I remove all but inxex = 4 then it works (until later when it has a different index). I've also tried one index is less than 5 and still no go. Re: Unable to drag mapped items to new heiarchy Thanks It appears I'm stuck and will need to make a lot of updates manually. Re: Unable to drag mapped items to new heiarchy Thanks for the reply Sadly I have years and years of tests at this point so unless we get the option to refractor I'll be stuck as-is.
