Integrating TestComplete Scripts [JScripts] with Bamboo Continuous Integration
Hi, I have written my scripts in TestComplete v 10.5 - JScript. I would need to integrate these scripts into the Bamboo Continuous Build Deployment System. The Bamboo deployment runs on UNIX machine. The testcomplete scripts are in my windows machine. Can you please let me know as how can we call the Testcomplete scripts [JScript] in windows machine using Bamboo Deployment hosted on UNIX machine? Anyhelp on this asap would be highly appreciated. Thanks.Solved2.8KViews0likes3CommentsRe: Unable to read pdf : “dotNET.org_apache_pdfbox_pdmodel.PDDocument” is null or not an object
Hi Helen, As per your suggestion, I deleted and re-addedPDFBOX DLL in CLR Bridge, changed to 32 bit architecture and restarted TestComplete 10.5. But still the code completion doesn't seem to work. It shows only the standard namespaces. Thanks for your inputs and pleaselet me know if there are any other ways to read/search the contents of pdf.3.6KViews0likes1CommentRe: Unable to read pdf : “dotNET.org_apache_pdfbox_pdmodel.PDDocument” is null or not an object

Hi, I am trying to read the pdf file using pdfbox dll. I have gone through the threads and have followed the steps mentioned in the following thread: http://smartbear.com/forums/f81/t88540/getting-exception-while-trying-to-read-pdf-file/ Steps performed: • Downloaded the complete and latest version of PDFBox .NET from here: http://www.squarepdf.net/pdfbox-in-net and unzipped the archive. • Add the pdfbox-1.8.4.dll file to CLR Bridge. Sample pdf: http://smartbear.com/SmartBear/media/pdfs/TestComplete-Datasheet.pdf Script used: [JScript] function Test() { var strFileName = "C:\\Work2\\TestComplete-datasheet.pdf"; var doc = dotNET.org_apache_pdfbox_pdmodel.PDDocument.load(strFileName); var pdfStripper = dotNET.org_apache_pdfbox_util.PDFTextStripper.zctor_2(); var str = pdfStripper.getText_2(doc); Log.Message("See Additional Info", str); } While executing this script, I get this error message: “dotNET.org_apache_pdfbox_pdmodel.PDDocument” is null or not an object. Please find the attachements for the same. Can you please let me know as how to overcome this error message? Thanks.Solved4.1KViews0likes10Comments- 1.9KViews0likes0Comments
Re: extract text from webpage and store it in a variable
Thanks for the response and sorry for not being specific. Here are much more details as what i was looking for: Let’s take an example: 1. Navigate to http://smartbear.com/product/testcomplete/overview/ 2. In this web page, there is a paragraph of text displayed under ‘Overview’ section along with bulleted items. Imagine these are dynamic and changes every now&then. Now I want to store the value displayed here into a variable and also each one of the bullet points [Ex: Test recording, Automated test execution] into separate variables This is what I meant by saying “extracting text from webpage and storing it in a project variable using Jscript". Please let me know if this clarifies. Thanks in advance.1.9KViews0likes0Commentsextract text from webpage and store it in a variable
