Re: TestComplete doesn't recognize Mapped Names
Hi, It looks like the object hierarchy in your application has changed. As far as I can see from the third screenshot you've posted (ObjectProperties.jpg), currently, the object you are inspecting is not mapped. That is why, the MappedName property is empty. To fix the problem, you need to check what identification properties and property values are used for mapping objects. Then, correct name mapping if the stored and actual values of identification properties differ. I hope this helps. Ann2.1KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Running the same script on multiple processes.
Hi, If the conditional name mapping is not suitable in your case, you can parameterize project names as it is described in the Specifying Identification Property Values topic. Also, please see the following thread Referencing an object via a project variable for more details. I hope this information helps. Hi, You can use free third-party .NET and Java libraries such as PDFBox or iText for your needs. You can call them from your tests via TestComplete's CLR Bridge and Java Bridge. See the following forum threads for examples of using these libraries: How to get the content of a pdf file on window and How to reference a .NET assembly I hope this helps. Hi, You can use free third-party .NET and Java libraries such as PDFBox or iText for your needs. You can call them from your tests via TestComplete's CLR Bridge and Java Bridge. This way, you do not need to use MSAA in your tests. See the following forum threads for examples of using these libraries: How to get the content of a pdf file on window and How to reference a .NET assembly I hope this helps. Hi Michael, I'm not sure how to reproduce the issue with the name mapping. Perhaps, the name mapping file is corrupted. Could you please contact our Support Team and send them the problematic project for the investigation? If you find the exact steps to reproduce the issue, please send them too. For the future reference, we'd appreciate it if you started a new forum thread instead of posting to the existing threads. Keeping one thread per question makes it quicker and easier for other people to find answers by browsing and searching for the forums. Thanks! Hi Michael I guess you need to modify the name mapping criteria for your frame object. Could you please specify what properties and values are used to identify the frame object? Thanks in advance. Ann1.1KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Running the same script on multiple processes.
Hi, You can map the process using a conditional mapping criterion that specifies several possible values for the varying identification property (the name of the process), so the mapped process will be correctly identified in either case. Please see the Using Conditional Mapping Criteria topic for detailed information. I hope this helps Ann941Views0likes0CommentsRe: Record a flex application
Hi, With TestComplete, you can test Flex applications that are embedded into a web page (both running under Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox). If you are using TestComplete 9, you can also test self-executed Flex applications (.exe) and applications that run in a standalone Flash Player. Please go through the "Testing Flash and Flex Applications" section in TestComplete's help for more information. I hope this information helps. Hi, I guess, your message box is a composite control. TestComplete does not analyze custom WPF control templates by default. Please go through the following topic: Support for WPF Control Templates. It describes how you can expose elements in composite controls. Ann1.4KViews0likes0Comments
