Re: Feature request: Prompt for a name when clicking "Record New Test"
Hi Gena, thanks for the reply. I guess it comes down to this: Do the majority of users stay with the default names, or do they at some point rename the keyword tests with more meaningful names. My guess was most people rename them but I could be wrong. For optimal usability the application should be tailored to accomodate the most common usage scenario. Steps to reproduce: 1) Open an existing keyword test and select the "Test Steps" tab 2) Click the "Record New Test" button at the top of the window Notice: You are not prompted to supply/enter a name for the test at this point. After the test is recorded it requires extra mouse clicks to go back and rename the test from 'Testx' to something more meaningful. It would be better/more efficient if you were prompted for the name at the begining of the process. The name field could be prepopulated with "Textx" if someone want to use the default name. Steps to reproduce: 1) Create a new Keyword test 2) Select the Parameters tab Notice: At the top of the window there is a handy button to create new parameters. Buttons are also available for "Move Up" and "Move Down" 3) Select the Variables tab Notice: There is no button for "Add Variable" (or "Move Up" or "Move Down"). Right-clicking works, but a button would be nice and would make the UI consistent.3.7KViews0likes1CommentFeature request: Copy variables from one keyword test to another
Hi, Currently I am creating the same variables multiple times for a series of related keyword tests. It would be nice if I could create them once and then copy and paste them into other keyword tests. Is that already possible and I'm just missing it? Regards, John5.9KViews1like9Comments
