Re: Active X controls results in APPCRASH. Similar controls in VB did not crash.
I followed your steps and added a registry item to launch AQTime when my specific application was launched. However when I click my application to open it, AQTime is the only thing that launches. It seems that AQTime blocks my application from opening.1.8KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Active X controls results in APPCRASH. Similar controls in VB did not crash.
Allen, I clicked ok and told the window to not prompt me again. now when i open the associated application AQTime now opens but the application doesn't. is there a step i missed that is needed to allow AQTime andthe application to open? Thanks, yehuda1.8KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Active X controls results in APPCRASH. Similar controls in VB did not crash.
Allen, I finally got around to messing around with the multi processor like you mentioned and while AQTime does automatically open with the correct application I receive this message with it. Could you please advise? Thanks, Yehuda1.8KViews0likes0CommentsActive X controls results in APPCRASH. Similar controls in VB did not crash.
The software we are testing with TestComplete is changing from VB6 controls to Active X controls. I've been noticing that when recording the step in a test where I close a window the window closes but I also get an APPCRASH message from windows. This same behavior occurs when I run the test back. Has anyone seen this before and know how to get TestComplete to "play nice" with Active X?19KViews0likes11CommentsRe: Dynamically change the Application path between 64 vs 32 bit machines
FYI, I changed your code slightly because on a 64 bit environment when the Else statement took place it was changing "Program Files (x86)" to "Program Files(x86)(x86)" etc. Here is the final version of the code I came up with: Sub ChangeASaMenuPath () Dim Application Dim os64bits Dim aSaMenu os64bits = Sys.OSInfo.Windows64bit Set aSaMenu = TestedApps.aSaMenu If (os64bits = True) And aSaMenu.Path = "C:\Program Files\aSa\CI\" Then aSaMenu.Path = Replace(aSaMenu.Path,"Program Files","Program Files (x86)") End If If (os64bits = False) And aSaMenu.Path = "C:\Program Files (x86)\aSa\CI\" Then aSaMenu.Path = Replace(aSaMenu.Path,"Program Files (x86)","Program Files") End If End Sub Thanks again for all the help.1KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Dynamically change the Application path between 64 vs 32 bit machines
Would this work for VBScripting? Sub ChangeASaMenuPath () Dim Application Dim os64bits Dim aSaMenuPath os64bits = sys.OSInfo.Windows64bit aSaMenuPath = testedapps.aSaMenu.Path if (os64bits = true) then Application = Replace(aSaMenuPath,"Program Files","Program Files (x86)") else Application = Replace(aSaMenuPath,"Program Files (x86)","Program Files") End If End Sub It runs through without error but doesn't actually seem to do anything.1.9KViews0likes0Comments
