Re: How to exit the "While Not" loop
Hi Robert, Thank you very much for your response. I was wondering if i could ask you for another advice. There is a web page where i need to select products (total 8 of them) and then proceed to the next page and select dates (4 of them) based on which i can export a file (*.csv) and save it on a hard disk. Currently i have my script broken down into 8 subs. Each sub executes steps per product. If there a way to create a loop for this flow and then exit somehow once last product routine is done? Could you please suggest which loop i need to use? Please see the example below: Webpage1 "Pick a product" and proceed to Webpage2" P1 P2 P3 Webpage2 "Pick a date" - 4 dropdowns. Dates are always consistent (30, 45, 60, 75) run the query and export the file Thank you very much for your help.1.3KViews0likes0CommentsHow to exit the "While Not" loop

Hi, We are using TC8.60.665.7 I have installed the patch and dropped it to the location specified in the installation instructions file. Upon restart TC is still not able to recognize anything within the FF8. I am able to add FF8 app to the TestedApps, but when i try to create a "Process Action", FF process does not exist in the list even though it is running. What am i doing wrong here? Please help. Alex, Would it be possible to get in touch with you over the phone sometime early next week? I work for First Republic Bank and FRB did purchase TC Enterprise edition which comes with 1 year free support. If it would not be lots of trouble for you to get in touch with me and go over the issues that we are experiencing it would be fantastic! Please let me know. Thanks, -Yuriy.1.3KViews0likes0CommentsRe: HTTP Load Test results returned with a Warning
Hey Alex, Thank you very much for a prompt respond. I did send you the *.pjs Would that be enough for you to open it? The reason i am asking is there are other files that are associated with this project. Please forgive me with my noobieness :) as this is the second week i am working with TC. Please let know if other files need to be sent across and i greatly appreciate your help in advance. Thanks a lot! -Yuriy.1.3KViews0likes0CommentsHTTP Load Test results returned with a Warning
Hi, I have recorder the HTTP Load test. I have played it back with 1 user as well as with 10 users. As long as i keep TC open and re-run them they all pass. Once i save the created project and close TC and then reopen and re-run my recorded test i get Warnings per all users. Any idea why? What are the factors that could be causing it and where in TC i should be looking at to correct this issues? In addition to that, another question. When running an HTTP load testing with 3 Virtual Users to get to the website and hit on play for wmv embedded video it takes 15 minutes per user (total of 45 minutes to execute this script) Why is it taking that long to run the script with 3 virtual users? Thanks.1.6KViews0likes0CommentsPerformance Testing - Embedded wmv file (1500 Virtual Users)
Hi, I was assigned a task to come up with a testing strategy to simulate 1500 users going to a website and viewing the 20-25min embedded video. We have an Enterprise edition of TestComplete with Unlimited Virtual User License. I went through the flow in terms of recording an HTTP Load test script by: 1. Opening the Browsers 2. Navigating to the Webpage 3. Clicking on "Play" button for video. Please note, that i let it record for around 3-4 minutes as i saw that video was downloading while playing and the stream rate was 384K bits/s. In my first attempts to run the scripts i was getting Warnings for X amount of Virtual Users i was running my script with (Currently only running 5 VU max to avoid the risk of bringing down the server) I am seeking a TC professional who has experties working with TC Performance and Load testing to give me guidance for the following queries that i have: 1. How to make sure that my script is recorded correctly 2. How to determine that Script execution does what it needs to do 3. How to correctly read the Logs (Please note that i did some reasearch on that for a few days and have a bit of an idea). 4. What details do i need to present to Network Team to point out if the server is capable in accepting X amount of connections and that all connections should not have issues while streaming the video on their PCs. 5. Any other information that would be usefull for me. Greatly appreciate all your help and comments in advance. Thanks, -Yuriy.9.6KViews0likes3Comments
