testcomplete 8 integration with vss
hi, I'm using testcomplete 8 and Integrated with sourceControl. Till here it is good. My Problem is After creating test case i'm checkin into the vss when i run the test case, for each and every statement in test script it is asking to check out the project. This is happening only when i take project as new item to the projectsuite . If i take the project as existing item to the project suite i'm not facing this problem. Hi carl, did you checked out that your powerbuilder data window have accessble name .(It will be in Datawindow Properties->Othertab->aessble name) something like that will be. and also your tc IDE setting should be like this.At Project level(rightclick on project->Edit->Properties->Open Applications->MSAA under this you need to add an item name pbdw* and check that item). By maintaining these setting you can easily Identify the Controls in you datawindow and also it provides the access to the Controls in the Datawindow. Please try with this. Hi, I tride integrating TC7 with VisualSourceSafe. I placed source from my local into VSS and Configured to Source Control from TestComplete7 IDE.I have done it Successfully .But My Problem is eventhough i was not in checked out state , if i close tc and open the same project it is showing the projectsuite in Checkout state and when i go to context menu on the Project suite all items are disabled except addtosourececontrol , refresh menu etc.. can anyone help me how to over come this problem. 2. I noticed some points. a) when i write a new test case (keyword test) keyword test folder will be in checkout state. b)when i wish to run the test it prompts to checkout the Project.mds file and projectsuite.Pjs file If our solution file is in checkout state by me. how can rest of the people works. Thank you for your reply... While i'm taking latest Version. it is creating A sub folder with the same name as the Project name inside the Project Folder. It mean when i'm taking latest source from source control , i'm not able to get the latest source code and also it is creating a sub folder with project name. Hi, I'm using test Complete 7 to test PowerBuilder (Window)Applications. Actually my intensionis to perform Regression Testing With TC. I recorded the TestCases with Older version Application Exe(Tested apps is older version exe) and wish to run those test cases with Newer version Application exe.(tested apps with newer version exe) In my testcase i'm using Property check for capturing the Window Caption.test cases ran properly with okd version. For changing the tested apps i did not change the tested apps in testcomple Ide. from my physical Folder location i have replaced the source code with newer version. But my test cases are failing because of changing the name mapping. Even though Window is same. Can anyone provide clarity to my question.
