Request: don't upload Pending Changelist files unchanged since the last time
Our reviews often have many files in them and we have Pending Changelists until the review is accepted. Each time the pending changelist is uploaded, all the files are uploaded even if only one or two have changed. After twenty or thirty cycles of the same fifteen files being uploaded, the review gets ridiculous (and I don't want to roll it all up because it's hard to tell what has changed). I'd like an option when uploading a Pending Changelist such that: if the changelist number is the same (this is perforce) and a file in it has already been uploaded and there are no changes, it doesn't show up in the new CL area.12KViews0likes4CommentsRequest: a way to "bookmark" a version that I've looked at without Accepting
Our reviews usually include quite a number of new uploads of pending or submitted changelists, and I will often review them a number of times as new files are uploaded. Most of the time there have been multiple uploads since the last time I looked, so looking at individual changelists is too time-consuming (so my default is first-to-last which works well much of the time). Unfortunately, if I've already looked at this file and now after multiple uploads I'm looking at it again, I can't tell which is the last version I looked at for the "Compare" drop-down. I don't want to re-review changes I've already seen. I know that if I click **Accepted** then in the "Compare" drop-down a small green check-box appears, but I use Accept to mean "ship it!" and I don't want to click there without really having approved all the changes. I'd like another button in Overall that means "new baseline" or something like that so I know my next look will only be changes I haven't seen yet.10KViews0likes1CommentChanging Compare options break "Next" and "Prev" except in IE
I often review Reviews that have had multiple uploads. My default settings are to review the difference between the first and the last, rather than just the particular CL I use. That works well for me (because I review in batches so there are usually multiple uploads by the time I get to it). Sometimes, though, I want to review just the changes from the last time I looked at it. So I click on the "Compare" drop-down and choose one of the middle uploads in the left-hand side, then click "Show". ... in all but IE, that breaks "Next" and "Prev". The correct differences show up, but "Next" and "Prev" (with all options checked) *always* say I've reached the end, no matter what. Is anyone else seeing this?12KViews0likes2CommentsCodeCollab scrolling slow in all browsers except IE
We have files that are in the thousands of lines and opening them from an Inspection is very slow (we use Perforce if that makes a difference). I can handle that, but scrolling is just as slow. Click on the scroll arrow? Somewhere between 3 and 20 seconds before it scrolls, depending on the length of the file. Click and hold? Same thing, with those pauses in between each update. Chrome (mac) is the worst; Chrome (win), Firefox (mac and win) are almost as bad. IE (win) is good for scrolling. Is there some setting I can use to make it faster? Chrome mac is my browser of choice.9.6KViews0likes0Comments
