Hope someone can help me. I'm running a basic keyword test for testing web page. The problem I'm experience is that I have a short script method that runs in the keyword test. The script takes an Autocompletionbox and a string as input parameters. The script used the passed string parameter to find a child object for the past AutomationCompletionboxobject. This script works fine for about 90% of the AutocompletetionBox objects. I'm having a problem with the other 10%. The script I use is as follow: procedure SelectDropDownItem(ADropDownObj : OleVariant; AItem : string); var fItemobj : OleVariant; begin ADropDownObj.Click(); ADropDownObj.Expand; ADropDownObj.Refresh; fItemobj := ADropDownObj.FindChild('NativeUIAObject.Name',AItem); fItemobj.Refresh; fItemobj.AddToSelection; ADropDownObj.Collapse; end; When the script runs the ADropDownObj is correct, it also finds the child object and store it to the fItemobj variable. When inspecting the fItemobj, the method AddToSelection is shown under UI Automation group of the methods tab, but if the script tries to execute the script line (fItemobj.AddToSelection;) it complains that the AddToSelection method does not exist. This does not make sense, why does it show if I inspect the actual variable, but if the script tries to execute the method of the variable it cannot find the method. I'm currently running Windows Vista (32) with Testcomplete 7.52. Memory: 2 GB CPU: AMD Athlon X2 Dual Core Processor 5200+ 2.7GHz Silverlight Version: 4.0.50524.0 any help would be appreciated. The Silverlight objects can be found in TestComplete Object browser immediately after IE started and displayed the page. While still working on the silverlight app, adding information in to the field, the object browser will lose the silverlight objects up to the SilverlightControlHost.Object(0) object. Full name: Sys["Process"]("iexplore", 2)["Page"]("<contains the http string >")["Form"]("form1")["Panel"]("silverlightControlHost")["Object"](0). Silverlight app will still work without any problems but testcomplete will show none of the different objects. If I try and use the object finder tool to highlight the specific object in silverlight app, the red border will flash quickly around the object on screen and only retrieve the object up to SilverlightControlHost.Object(0) object. The only way to get the objects back in the Object browser is to close and restart the silverlight app again. Then if I’m lucky I will have access to the silverlight objects for a while before Testcomplete lose the objects again. Any script created using the objects in the object browser, when the objects are available, works when executed but fails if the objects disappear from the object browser. Added screen shots of silverlight app and object browser with and without sub objects. What is the reason for this and why can I not use the object finder tool to select an object. I call TestExecute from within FinalBuilder 5, indicating the project path, project name, unit and function to run. A window is displayed showing that testexec is opening, and then immediately it shows a message that testexecute is closing. The following error message is reported. There was a fatal error. Script unable to be run. C:\Program Files\Automated QA\TestExecute 7\bin\TestExecute.exe "c:\DevDocs\Auto Builds\Tests\Automation\v1.6.2_int\_Source\Tests\Automation\Automation.pjs" /run /project:Automation.pjs /unit:MainRun /routine:BeginSweeps /exit /SilentMode (See the TestComplete log for details.) The following error data was logged by TestComplete: 01/02/2010 11:55:42:432 Tried to open the YES/NO dialog. Message: A new version of the product is available: 7.52.678.11. Would you like to learn more about it on AutomatedQA's Web site ?. The default value: NO. I switched the update check off, but it still fails with this error. Why? If I specify that Testcomplete should be used, the same happens. TestComplete will open and then immediately close. What is funny is that if I call TestExecute without the run parameter, it will open and load the script without any errors. Then, if I manually start testexecute script run, it runs fine without any errors. Only if I try and run TestExecute using the run parameter do I get a problem. Is it possible and if, how? I want to move between the records of the DDT.ExcelDriver object. Example. Once I moved to the end of the Driver object (Driver.EOF = True), I want to move back to the second last record or third last in the object. The only methods available is next, there is no previous or first. Must I use a different approach if I need more flexibility in navigating the record? Hi I want to find out if it is possible to use, functions defined inascripting unit of one project in a function of a different project that is in the same project suite. Also if the one project use vbScript and the other project use CScripting, will the two projects be able to use each others units. Regards Magnus14KViews0likes1Comment
