Re: Distributed testing in TC8 differs from TC7.5
Hi David, Thanks for that info. But I am just wondering if ever we do transfer TC8 enterprise to another PC with a different OS. Would it be easy like uninstall TC8 on another machine then re-register using the serial provided to us since we already registered TC8 on win2003 using the named license we bought?1.8KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Distributed testing in TC8 differs from TC7.5
Hi David, Here's my current setup: Windows Server 2003 EE SP2 - Installed with Test Complete 8 - Named License - This is where I run the distributed test XP Pro SP2 PC1- Installed with Test Execute 8 - remote desktop connection allowed - Project is located in C:\Project XP Pro SP2 PC2- Installed with Test Execute 8 - remote desktop connection allowed -Project is located in C:\Project All PCs have their own monitors each. Hope this helps We already registered our TC 8 Enterprise using our named license. And if we do transfer it on another PC we have to remove the license on this particular PC right?1.8KViews0likes0CommentsIs there a way for TC8 to check log files?
Hi, Our current application uses OCR and after processing each file it creates a log file. And the filename is output after processing usually has the format of the filename and then the current date. How does TC check the functionality if the file was processed successfully in the log file?11KViews0likes1CommentDistributed testing in TC8 differs from TC7.5
Hi, I was able to try distributed testing in 7.5 and loved it. I am just wondering with TC8 when running distributed test using multiple PCs does it always have to be via remote desktop session? I mean in TC7.5 you have to specify the IP of your hosts and verify and that's it. No need to enable remote desktop session and specify domain, username when creating hosts. Is this how it is now in TC8? In TC8 you have to provide a domain and username and enable remote desktop connection. If I don't verification fails. So when I run Test Execute on the slave PCs (XP) they automatically logout. No preview of the actual testing appears on each remote PC that I run. Is there an option I need to enable in TC8 to view it? I saw on the video that images of remote desktops in the network suite editor should be displayed. When I run my distributed testing no image appears.11KViews0likes7CommentsRe: Error when running http load testing in TC8 Enterprise
Hi, Apparently I consulted on the Enterprise Edition that we bought and this was what said on the email: "The Enterprise edition of TestComplete that you purchased allows you to simulate (5) virtual users for HTTP load testing" Do I need to install anything in particular to be able to test load testing? If we do have 5 virtual users available then what kind add-on should be installed?2.1KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Error when running http load testing in TC8 Enterprise
Hi, Do you mean that we should purchase a separate product for load testing add on for it to work? We already bought a named license of TC8 Enterprise edition. And from what I read Enterprise edition supports load testing?2.1KViews0likes0CommentsError when running http load testing in TC8 Enterprise
I currently have a TC8 Enterprise installed and tried running a simple http load testing. I already tried the sample http://localhost/loadtesting/LoadTestingDemo.dll and my sample web app. But both generate the error below. --------------------------- TestComplete --------------------------- Unable to locate any feature matching scope. Error code: hasp_get_info, 50 --------------------------- OK --------------------------- What does this error mean?9.6KViews0likes7CommentsRe: Run TestedApp for regedit.exe not working on Windows 7
I am experiencing a similar situation I am running Windows 2008 Enterprise Edition. I am running via remote desktop though. I tried the Run as Admin on Test Execute but same error happens. Is the run admin applicable to test execute 8 too? Unable to run: C:\MP\Myapp.exe Working Folder: \\testpc\MP\Server Parameters: [n/a] I ran the same test on my xp and win2003 machines but I was able to run the test smoothly. That error occurs only on Win20081.3KViews0likes0Comments
