I've noticed that in the 2.3.0 version it works but only when I select the "Search item names ONLY" It would be nice if I also could search in eg Groovy scripts. how to duplicate a Soap Virt service? In a Soap call to external application I have 2 parameters. Depending on the values of these parameters I get different responses. How can I do this in an easy way? Can I duplicate opperation for each combination of the 2 paramaters and then change the xpath expression and the response for each of these opperations? If Yes how to do this? If No do I have to clonde the Virt for allcombinations of the 2 paramaters? SoapUi Search (CTRL-F) in SoapUI PRO version ReadyAPI 2.2.0 seems to loop forever The very usefull plugin Soapui Search (CTRL-F) which permits to search in Projects and TestSuites / TestCase for a string doesn't work anymore after I installed version 2.2.0 of ReadyAPI. The pop-up appears, the search string can be filled in but the search itself seems to loop forever. Re: error 2.1.0 can't start : program creates a corrupt readyapi.h2.db. done : ticket nr :00248259 error 2.1.0 can't start : program creates a corrupt readyapi.h2.db. Just installed version 2.1.0 but can't start it as program creates corruptreadyapi.h2.db. Delting file - as indicated in error message - doesn't fix the problem as the newly created db is corrupt again. Error message :The Dashboard database is corrupted. Some tiles are disabled. Remove the file readyapi.h2.db from C:\Users\jdelaat\.readyapi\db and restart Ready! API to create a new database. WARNING: This will delete all your test results. How can I check if a Virt Service received a certain REST call? Dear, I have to test if our service sends a REST call to an external service. This REST call is the result of an assynchrone process, so I don't know when this will happen. Our service doesn't need a response from the external service and I don't have access to this external service. My idea is to virtualise this external service and check once in a while if it received this REST call and what the content was of this call. I'm new with ServiceV so I want to know if this is possible and if yes how do I do this? Thanks Johan how to stop fast growing settings.xml The settings.xml file I need has a size of less than 100kb. However every time I close Ready! Api 1.9.0 – SoapUI NG the size more or less doubles. Actually I have a size of more than 120.000kb . When I have a look in this file I see that inside the soapui-project settings there are copies of old versions of the same soapui-project settings. Something like : <settings today> blabla <settings yesterday> blabla <settings daybeforeyesterday> blabla </settings daybeforeyesterday > </settings yesterday> </settings today> When I clean up the file and start SoapUi again it works fine until I save the project because then the size is the double of what is was before the clean up. How to stop this? Johan Re: Moving and copying Child resources Thanks for the response. It will be very useful. One suggestion : mention in the documentation that if you want to clone a resource to another service you have to select the resource and at least one of the child resources or methods. Otherwise you don’t get the full options of cloning, moving or deleting REST Resources and with cloning the possibility to clone to another service, …etc You can only clone within the same Service Moving and copying Child resources Hi, Is it possible to copy child resources from one service to another? I found an old topic (10-23-2013) mentioning that it was added to your Backlog (internal issue tracker SOAP-883), but I can't find if it's already implemented or not. My situation is the following : * Developers have a codebase that is common to a lot of services. * I need to test these services seperately. => I need to introduce the resources for this common codebase to all the services. copying the (child) resource from one service to an other service would be very timesaving. Any suggestions? Johan Re: Environment Issue Dear, How can I change the name of an Environment for a REST Services? I just upgraded to ReadyApi 1.6.0. I've just created 2 new Service endpoints (via New REST Service from URI) and changed then the name in itsproperty window. When I wanted to fill in the endpoint for each environment I found that for one REST service there is an unwanted name and for the other the name is empty. (see attachment) How can I correct these names? Thanks in advance Johan
