Re: Does LoadUI send more requests than it records?
I finally decided to count the log entries that I created through the tabel log and it seems, that the tabel log only recorded 98 requests, even 100 were send. Is this a bug?13 years agoPlace ReadyAPI QuestionsReadyAPI Questions667Views0likes0CommentsDoes LoadUI send more requests than it records?
Dear LoadUI community, I recently face the following phenomen: I am sending 100 requests with LoadUI to my Server (at least LoadUI makes me think, that I do so, because it only records 100 requests in the components). But when I take a look in the http log of my server, I have always a bit more than 100 requests for my service (sometimes one more, sometimes 2 more...). I am sending requests with a frequence of 1/second, with a burst rate of 1. So I was wondering, if LoadUI is sometimes sending more requests than it records? Is this possible?13 years agoPlace ReadyAPI QuestionsReadyAPI Questions1.2KViews0likes2Comments- 13 years agoPlace ReadyAPI QuestionsReadyAPI Questions672Views0likes0Comments
What happens with request that are not
Dear Loadui Community, I am recently testing a REST Service with the fixed rate component. If I put the parameters of the fixed rate component to 50 Threads per second, it is to much load for the Server the Service is running on, and it seems that it starts to answer not every request. So if i send 50Threads per second over a time of 5 minutes, Loadui will send 15000 Threads right? But because the Server is to busy, LoadUI records only around 11000 send Threads. So I was wondering, what exactly happens to the 4000 missing threads? Are they just lost? If I would be a user, sending one of these 4000 threads, what would i get as reply? A connection timeout? Thanks a lot for your help!13 years agoPlace ReadyAPI QuestionsReadyAPI Questions1.1KViews0likes2Comments[Res.] Same execution time, same AVG, but different count
Dear Loadui community, I am recently testing a webservice and a REST (OData) service with equal functionality concerning their performance. I did the test for the WS and the REST service simultaneously (so one Project, with 2 Testcases: One for the WS and one for the REST service). The Load and the execution time are the same. Nevertheless Loadui send a lot more requests to the Webservice, than to the REST-Service. As far as I got the function of the fixed Load component right, it is ensuring, that loadui send a constant load to the service. Due to this, I would have expected, that the RESt service is just a lot slower than the Webservice. However, whatching my report, it displayed that the Min, Max and AVG response time of the Webservice and the REST-service are not outstanding different. I repeat the test several times with the same result. I also executed the Webservice and the OData service serperatly, nevertheless, the webservice could get a lot higher count with similar response time and same load. I am very confused, how is it possible, that the count can be so different, but the response time is similar? It seems to me, that I missunderstood some concept of the loadui enviroment. Can somebody see my error in reasoning?13 years agoPlace ReadyAPI QuestionsReadyAPI Questions1.3KViews0likes2Comments- 13 years agoPlace ReadyAPI QuestionsReadyAPI Questions645Views0likes0Comments

Re: Test automation: same tescase, different number of threads
Ok, here is what I did right now, but unfortunatley it is not working so far. Maybe you can give some advice for improvement: I imported a testcase in Loadui. The test is standartconfigured to run with the Load 1. I would like to change the property load from the cmd. loadui-cmd.bat -F PDF -L 10:0:0 -l -nofx -Dloadui.property.load=10 -p c:\users\B\.loadui\READ_1Thread.xml -r c:\users\B\.loadui But this is not working in the way i expect it to work: The testcas itself runs, but still with the Load of 1. Load is a predefined property of the fixed load component in loadui. Thanks for your help!13 years agoPlace ReadyAPI QuestionsReadyAPI Questions645Views0likes0CommentsChange proxy of Loadui testing
Dear Loadui-team Recently its very unconvenient to switch the Proxys I am useing for doing tests in loadui: I have to proceed as follows: 1) I change the proxy settings in soapui 2) I close soapui 3) -> Loadui recognizes to switch proxy 4) I open soapui again So I always have to reconfigure, close and reopen soapui to change settings in loadui. I would wish to have a proxy settings window as in soapui directly in loadui. Moreover it took me a long time to find this indeed a bit weird way to switch the proxy. I would really appreciate if you would think about this feature! Thanks a lot.13 years agoPlace ReadyAPI QuestionsReadyAPI Questions4.8KViews0likes2Comments
