Re: Chrome 107 and Alerts
There are several current forums with this same issue. Chrome is currently on version 108 and TestComplete is two version behind for compatibility. See: https://community.smartbear.com/t5/TestComplete-Questions/Unable-to-find-Confirm-Objects-Web-testing/m-p/241731/emcs_t/S2h8ZW1haWx8dG9waWNfc3Vic2NyaXB0aW9ufExCNzM0RkdWVE4xSEE3fDI0MTczMXxTVUJTQ1JJUFRJT05TfGhL#M105176 And https://community.smartbear.com/t5/TestComplete-Questions/Testcomplet-not-detecting-the-Javascript-Alert-and-not-able-to/m-p/240640 One work around we've found is that you can send keyboard entries for ENTER (OK/Confirm) and ESC (Cancel) to the browser but this takes approx. 25 seconds each time you perform this action. It seems like a patch should've been in order for this time of issue spanning so many clients at my company. mfoster711We're interested in your Selenium findings if you can find a way to migrate your existing Test Projects without too much effort.755Views0likes1CommentRe: TestComplete- Export Keyword Test Project Scripts
The list of issues is extensive at this point in all tests and not worth the ongoing maintenance. Although this answer is not ideal, it is understandable. We will look at possible options for exporting the tests and converting name mappings.1KViews0likes0CommentsTestComplete- Export Keyword Test Project Scripts
Is it possible to export your keyword test projects to scripts or some other format to change test automation software? After two years of writing keyword tests in TestComplete, we've decided to change to a different test automation tool such as Cypress, Web Driver, or Selenium that will work better with our web app. We do not want to lose all of our current tests if we can export to javascript or some other format. We would need our projects, name mapping information, existing scripts, and project variables. I'm not looking to export the logs or results from the tests but the tests themselves. Thanks1.1KViews0likes3Comments
