In Jira Structures , we are unable to get the Zephyr for jira test execution status

In Jira Structures , we are unable to get the Zephyr for jira test execution status and the defects linked to those tests. However we are able to add the tests.

Version of Structure used : 6.3.1

Version of Zephyr for Jira : Zephyr for JIRA 5.6.4

Jira version : Jira v8.12.1

Please help , as we are trying to build the hierarchical view using Structures.

  • Hi

Structures for Jira is another app/plugin for Jira similar to Zephyr with a different functionality.

We don't have any native integrations with Structure for Jira today. The reason we you were able to add the Tests was because  "Test" is a standard Jira issue type that Structures can read by default, but Test Execution status or the Linked Defects are Zephyr Custom data which (not Jira Standard Data) Structures for Jira might not know how to read and display. There are API's available for Zephyr for Jira which expose this data. You would need to get in touch with Structures team to see if they can support display of Zephyr data in their application.

All the info that the Structures team would need to do so or build this integration is already made available through API's that expose Zephyr data.

Hope this info is helpful in reaching out to the right team to get your issue resolved.

      Hi ,

Thank you for the clarifications. However our intention of using structures was to build the hierarchical view (traceability) from Epic all the way to the defects. We we unable to achieve this using the Zephyr Traceability view , as it only shows Epics or User stories as the requirement. But in our organisation we have the below structure

      Business requirement in Confluence

          Epic

                User Story

                    Zephyr Test case

                         Defect

In the traceability view we were hoping to see the complete mapping from Business requirement till the defect.  I tried various options , and finally wanted to experiment "Structures"

Would be great if you could suggest other alternatives to meet this objective if not "Structures"
