Import Progress - Jobs on-going though cancelled

Hay there, i have an import job that seems to be in progress forever, even though i have called the job and try to start another import i keep getting the notification bar that says "please wait until current job is finished". How do i confirm this job is not running or cancel it properly so i can run a new import.
