Re: TM4J - Using Gherkin Why Can't I enter "Or" and "If"

Apologies if this is in the wrong location. I could not find a board for TM4J.

New user to TM4J - not new to BDD/Gherkin.

We use "Or" and "If" quite frequently in our stories. I understand that when writing for Cucumber you want to use multiple scenarios instead, but this is for humans, why not allow Or and If rather than forcing users to create multiple tests that could be solved with one as the tester can easily decipher within a single scenario? This is especially compounded when the Or or If could be used during the Given section.

TIA

Re: TM4J - Using Gherkin Why Can't I enter "Or" and "If"

Hi, @scotmc! Thank you for your question.

The supported keywords are a bit limited and the team is working to improve the use of Gherkin scripts in the app. You can find a list of supported keywords here: https://support.smartbear.com/zephyr-scale-cloud/docs/test-cases/gherkin-behavior-driven-development...

You're asking about the Or and the If keywords, but it looks like they're not Gherking standard as per https://cucumber.io/docs/gherkin/reference/#keywords

Are you sure those keywords should be supported? What tool do you use to execute your Gherkin scripts?

Cheers!
