am new to test-complete & python ,can we use python for automating the GUI

Hi All,

 

Can python be more helpful for automating an window Delphi developed Application or do i need to use any other language,please suggest regarding the same

You can use any language supported by Test complete to do GUI testing VB script, j Script, JavaScript or Python . You can know more about languages and what to select hear.  Scripting language dose not depends on what language your application developed (as far as test complete could read GUI element). Test complete can read almost all applications for further info read this   

 

For example I have developed tests for Delphi application using VB script, j Script and currently doing with python. But you can not use multiple languages in one test project. 

 

Anyway script extensions are only supported by VB script, j Script,

ok , i know vbs but i love to work with python so does this script extensions will become problem .May be there will be other ways right ,correct me if am wrong

You can create script extensions in VBScript and JScript only, but you can use script extensions in any language, including Python.
