Unable to initialize Python

Hi,

We just upgraded to testcomplete version 12.31 and we use python. On running even simple functions, we are getting error as "Unable to initialize python". The same was not an issue in version 12.10.

Please,please help at the earliest....

Regards

Vaishnavi

It is possible that the Python version (3.6) used in TestComplete 12.31 wants a missing Windows update on your machine.  Reference these links:

https://www.smartftp.com/support/kb/the-program-cant-start-because-api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0dll-...

https://stackoverflow.com/questions/33265663/api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0-dll-is-missing-when-openi...

To resolve:

- Bring your machine up-to-date with patches.

- Install the following update:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-sg/help/2999226/update-for-universal-c-runtime-in-windows

- Then try installing the Visual C++ Redistributable package for Visual Studio 2015 that you can find by the link below:
