TestComplete NameMapping

I have a WinForms form, with layers of controls. TestComplete tests made.

Now I introduce a SplitterPanel into one of the controls, and put the existing controls in the SplitterPanel panes 1 & 2.

Now TestComplete tests don't work anymore as they can't find the controls because of new SplitterPanel.

Is there a way to manipulate the NameMapping so we don't have to redo all the tests?

(I've tried the documentation which suggests this can be done, but I haven't found a detailed explanation of how to accomplish this.)

I found the answer is to click the square at the top right next to "Templates..."
