TestComplete 8 License Manager - How to license several autonomous test systems?

Hi,



We have downloaded the TestComplete 8 Beta 4 version and installed it on our test system.

Each test system consist of one main computer which is connected to the intranet, and several target computers on a local net connected to the main computer. Both the main computer and the target computers run TestExecute.

Now, when we install the License Manager on the main computer, all TestExecute instances will be registered ok.

The problem is all the other test systems (configured the same way) where the target computers do not see the License Manager since they are not connected to the intranet.

Is there a way to install a "global" License Manager on one computer on the intranet, and have some kind of license manager gateways installed on all the main computers?

Or is there another solution we can use?

We need to keep the different test systems separated from the company intranet through the main computers. This worked fine in TestComplete 7, and is a featur we need.

    Hi Rune,





    If the slave machines can access the License Manager PC directly by its IP address, you can open the 'http://localhost:1947/_int_/config_to.html' page on the slave machines and specify this IP in the 'Specify Search Parameters' text box. Also, you can disable the 'Broadcast Search for Remote Licenses' option on the same page.
