To my understanding yes, it must work. You just need to enable REST API (https://support.smartbear.com/testcomplete/docs/reference/apis/index.html😞
(This screenshot was made for regular TestExecute, not for TestExecute that is installed with TestLeft (though I think that they must not differ)).
