Running Test complete scripts from visual studio

Hi, 

I'm trying to run my Test complete scripts (Data driven using Excel) via visual studio, Found the article for it from the support site and followed the steps of

1.creating a VB unit test project

2. Installed VSIntegration for test complete

3. added the tc12 test and pointed it to one of my scripts.

4. Ran the test method only to have nothing happen. 

Not sure what step i'm missing. any help is appreciated. I use Test complete 12.6 and Visual studio 2017 Enterprise

It seems from the website that the prerequisite to run testcomplete scripts from visual studio is that you have TestCompletet14.x (not 12.6)
