Is there a setting that when a property checkpoint fails the script reports the error in the logs but continues?

Checkpoint does not stop the test execution- During the test run, property checkpoints compare the actual and expected property values and post the comparison results to the test log. If the property values match, the checkpoint logs a success message; otherwise, it logs an error message.

May be something missing in your test, that is stopping your test execution.
