Solved

Name mapping file not found. Please help as I am totally blocked.

I am getting the error Unavailable (Name mapping). I just said yes to an update and teh file is missing.

None of my scripts run in Test complete nor in Test Execute.

Please help.

Last time that I ran the scripts was on Tuesday.Sept 17th , 2019.

I need the file from Tuesday Sept 17th 2019 which has all my updates.

I tried to recover but file is not found.I also tried going to the path where all the files are stored but could not find the file at all.

Do I contact Smart bear?

I had to use the older version of name ampping file that was saved in a different location.

Now we have a Git Repo for QA to save the Test complete files with versioning through TFS. Thsi will save the name mapping file with dates and will have versions.

You can search your drive for NameMapping.tcNM

Perhaps you accidentally changed the directory.

Do you not have your files in a version control of some sort?  Or backed up to another drive at the very least?  If I don't want to do a check-in, I copy the day's work to my user drive that is on the network in case my laptop dies.

Test Complete is on a VM within a VM. I did not do any directory changes.

Lesson learned i should have copied it somewhere else on a daily basis.

What do I do to find the file?

I have the file in anotherr environment which is like from September 10, but teh most difficult work was done on Monday September 16th.

How can I retrieve the Sepetember 16th name mappiong file?
