.NET 5

We will be migrating our desktop app to .NET 5 later this year.  Will Test Complete support .NET 5 by that time?

I looked here https://support.smartbear.com/testcomplete/docs/app-testing/desktop/net/supported-technologies.html and it looks like it is not currently supported.

TestComplete supports testing .NET applications that use the following technologies:

  • .NET Framework 2.0 - 4.8 (both 32-bit and 64-bit versions).

    Note:Mono is not supported.
  • .NET Core 3.0-3.1, both 32- and 64-bit versions (early preview support).

I appreciate the link to the survey.  I filled it out.  I do still wish to know if there is a timeline for .NET 5 support.  We are working on our new app and would like to know if/when it will be supported.

Hi,

For official reply you may ask Support directly via the https://support.smartbear.com/testcomplete/message/ form.

No one of us here is employed by SmartBear and thus we are not informed about their plans and timeframes...
