I cannot select a object on screen even after adding the object class to MSAA option

Hi,

 

I cannot select a object on screen even after adding the object class to MSAA option. Please let me know what else can I do to achieve this.

When I record clicking the object, it just gives me the coordinates. Any help would be appreciated.

No it does not matter if there are two objects with the same classname - adding it  should apply to both.

 

Did you try adding the classnames in this manner: https://support.smartbear.com/testcomplete/docs/working-with/managing-projects/properties/object-map...

 

This is different than under MSAA.

No, I still haven't found the solution yet. I have tried MSAA, UI Automation and object mapping, nothing worked.

Do you have the Intelligent Quality Add on? We could empower OCR as a workaround for now, and try to dive deeper into the object recognition through a support ticket, or a trouble shooting session through your SmartBear Representative.

OCR is a part of the IQ add on, and it does require internet access through 443 

No, I don't have Intelligent Quality Add on.

Sorry to hear this still is affected. 

 

There has been some great work arounds provided to no avail. 

At this point I would suggest opening a support case. 

 

It will be easier to find out what's actually happening as our support and developers can dive a little deeper into the issue.
