How to do test automation on chrome browser without having test complete extension installed
Editing the Original Message:
I have a web module and desktop module licenses for Test complete
and I'm able to automate tests on IE browser. But to be able to automate tests on Chrome Browser seems like Test Complete Extension for Chrome browser have to be installed
Problem here is we cannot install browser extensions on the Chrome browser because it is blocked by our company's cybersecurity team and seems like there is no way we can get the extension unblocked.
Is there any work around so that I can automate tests on Chrome browser without having Test Complete Extension installed?
I have read about Force Install of Test Complete Extension on Chrome Browser . Is it anywhere different from installing it the usual way??

Hi,
No workaround exists.
Any explanation from the company's cybersecurity team as for why they consider extension to be unsafe?

Thanks for answer Alex
No I haven't got any specific reason for test complete extension to be unsafe. But I'm sure its the same case with any other third party extensions.

Hm... This is not a regular third-party extension, but a part of the product. 🙂
You may ask your Security for their reasons and doubts and then contact SmartBear's Support (via the https://support.smartbear.com/message/?prod=TestComplete form) and I hope Support guys will reveal all doubts.
(Well, maybe except those like 'we do not allow any extension. Just because we don't allow them. Point.' 🙂 )
