How to Apend a wild character to the project variable?

I have a variable value captured through 'Set Variable Value'. Now I need to use the value captured in another text field, appended with a wild character.

Ex: Value captured on screen - SG1825793

Value to be used - SG1825793*, to search all related entries

Can we achieve this?
