Hi all!
Yes it's a pain in our back-sides as well! We're looking into it but unfortunately it's taking some time...
Personally I'm right-clicking on some random function and opening it in a new tab and using that tab to log in.
After login I close the tab, refreshing the first tab and then the user is authenticated for the second time and you won't get thrown back to the index page every time.
Its quit effective once you've got the hang of it and if you're using every hot-key possible.
Although it's kind of ridiculous that I need these extra steps..
