Get value and make it a variable - desktop app

Hello everyone,

I'm new to test complete and I'm trying to record a desktop application.

Once we click on a field it generates a number like the one i have posted here "90428"

Now I have to capture this text and convert it into a variable, so that I can pass this on to next transaction.

Question: How do i capture the text and assign to a variable?

Below is the screenshot from test complete where i click the field (90* - asterik is used ever iteration we get new number).
