Exception cannot be recover by reinstall TC8: HRESULT: -2147221164

Dear Expert:

While using TC8, it met exception after some system cleaning been done(I've remove some files not related to TC and done some system cleanning by 3rd party software). Below is the exception.



When click Run on test script, it will not run and just give me a pass test result.



When click '.' after shell, it comes up with a exception as attached file

  set shell = Sys.OleObject("WScript.Shell")   

 shell.



Please see details from attached file



Reinstall will not fix this issue. Could you please help to find some way to fix it? Thanks a lot.

    Hi Leon,



    My guess is that something wrong with Java (either Java VM, or JScript) installation and I would try to reinstall Java (and then, maybe, TestComplete one more time...).

    Another option may be corrupted installation of VBScript, so you may try to reinstall it as well (along with VBScript Debugger).

    Hi Alexei,



    Thanks for your reply. I'm tried your way and it not fixed. I've fixed it by reinstall WSH which was broken by some reason. I think it will be much better that TC can tell user that WSH has issue than just no reaction. Hou  u think?
