Automate the applications that require 2 factor authentication

We have some web based applications that require 2 factor authentication as attached here. How can we automate the 2 factor authentication.

Please advice.

Thanks

Where? 🙂

Do you really need to automate it? What for? Can you provide a sample use-case? Isn't it more convenient and reliable (in terms of tests speed, reliability and work efforts) to have some dedicated test account(s) that does/do not require 2 factor authentication but just proceeds to the application? And leave verification that 2 factor authentication works correctly with your application to manual/API/security/etc. testing while you will focus on verification of the functionality of the tested application.

I agree with @AlexKaras's point. But, if you must do this do you have access do your back end db? If so could just pull the send code from there to use?
