I think it's great that you're publishing snapshots.  Love it, actually... but I have a few questions:

    1)  My soapUI project file is very important.  Do I risk corrupting it on snapshots?

    2)  If I use a snapshot version and share project files with someone who uses a production release, could there be incompatibilities?

You might want to consider posting some info regarding these things.  One idea might be to indicate if the snapshot changes the project file format at all or if it is UI changes only.  I'd feel pretty comfortable using a snapshot if I knew it was only UI or even performance changes (i.e., no changes to project files!).

    Thanks,
Chris (brand new soapUI Pro license holder!).

    Hi Chris,

thanks for your post! some answers:

    1) Hopefully not, if so it would be a bug.. but you should always make backups anyhow..

    2) Generally not, if so we will mention this in the snapshot release notes

Often a snapshot introduces new settings, teststeps, etc.. these will of course add info to the project file when used.. but should not prevent the current production release to read the project file as well (ignoring the new options..)

Anyhow, we will post this kind of info when applicable to a snapshot in its announcement..

    kind regards,

    /Ole
