Object not Found unless selected twice in NameMapping
I have several objects in the product I'm testing that TestComplete is unable to find when the test runs. However, if I go to said object in the NameMapping editor, the first time I click it, TestComplete will tell me it can't find it. But, the second time I click it, TestComplete is able to both find and highlight the object. I'm running TestComplete 8.70.727.7. Is it that TestComplete is taking longer to find the object than the default time allowed? If so, is there a place I can edit the timeout time for finding an object? Thanks!17KViews0likes1CommentRe: Mailing lists
The email address field can only support one email address. So, you'll have to provide CodeCollaborator with a single email address that will go to a list of people. You might ask your system administrator to create a mailing list for you that contains email addresses of all the users you would like to be in your review pool. Then, you can use the mailing list address as the email address for your CodeCollaborator pool user.613Views0likes0CommentsRe: change set includes hostnames? why?
The main difference between using addchanges and addcvsdiffs is the amount of metadata you get. When using addchanges, we connect to the CVS server, and, as a result, are able to get more meta data. While using addcvsdiffs, you get less metadata because we do not contact the CVS server. You are correct that using addchanges will catch the hostname of the machine from which the changes are uploaded. For Perforce and Subversion, we have server integration that will allow you to map the machines so that they show as part of the same repository, and that eliminates the issue you are seeing. (For more information on the mapping with Perforce and Subversion, see Client Configuration Mapping at http://codecollaborator.smartbear.com/docs/manual/6.0/index.html?admin_version_control.html.) With CVS, however, we have no way of pulling out the machine names and thus are unable to map them to one CVS server. A suggested workaround is to use addcvsdiffs exclusively.1.3KViews0likes0Comments
