Why is the SSL certificate of the SmartBear Maven repository broken?
Hi,
when trying to access the Maven repository for the smartbear OSS artefacts via SSL, an invalid certificate error is reported:
https://smartbearsoftware.com/repository/maven2/
The SSL certificate is issued for the domain "smartbear.com", but the repository is hosted on "smartbearsoftware.com".
We are trying to follow an SSL only approach and we do not want to connect to sites with invalid SSL certificates.
Could you please fix that by either making the repository available under the hostname "smartbear.com" or by issuing a new certificate with the hostname "*.smartbearsoftware.com"?
Thanks,
Michael

Sad, but it seems that security is not an issue for SmartBear... 😞

Over 3 years later and
This server could not prove that it is smartbearsoftware.com; its security certificate is from *.smartbear.com.
This issue has never been resolved.
