yes, it's a known issue.. soapUI doesn't actually know if the project has changed, it always asks... it's on our list of improvements!

Here's another vote to fix that. I have several users making updates to composite projects. They get scared everytime they save their changes and try to exit soapui.
With composite projects will clicking yes to the dialog overwrite someone else's change?

Hi!
saving a composite project will overwrite any files that are not the same as the ones in memory, so if both user A and B open a composite project on a shared file server, user A changes and saves and then user B changes and saves, user B will overwrite all user A's changes. User B would have to update those objects from the file system that user A changed first to avoid the overwrite.
This is obviously not optimal, our ambition is to integrate soapUI Pro directly with SCM systems like svn, git, etc
