what's goin on in samples\getting-started-soapui-project.xml

i'm a new user of LOADUI and have been going through the samples projects accompanied with LOADUI installation.I'm wondering if anybody can explain me what is going around with samples\getting-started-soapui-project.xml file that is used with the mock services component and if the xml has to be rewritten for each project that one has to test.
