soapui x64 in windows

Hello,
Our services return quite a large amount of data and it causes soapUI to run out of memory a lot of time. I have tried the max I could but am still running into issues.

I was thinking of moving to a 64 bit windows 2003 so that my system can have large amount of memory avaialble for the OS and for soapUI.

My question is,
Does the soapUI x64 bundle have everything I need to get up and running? Do I need to install some special JRE/JDK etc?
Where can I specify the memory available to testrunner? What is the max I can allocate in a 64-bit OS (if my system has 8 GB of RAM)

Thanks

Ali

    Hi Ali,

you will need to install a 64-bit JRE seperately (from http://java.sun.com). After installation increase the -Xmx value in the .vmoptions file (or .bat file if you are not using the installer) to whatever value you require.

Please note that the base-overhead is higher on a 64-bit JRE, so don't hold back when setting that memory value :-)

    regards!
