soapui 1.7.6 JDBC datasource not working. (works in 2.01 snapshot)

I created a JDBC datasource, specified drivers etc. clicked play and got the records back from database. My next teststep is a property transfer which transfers records from the jdbc datasource to a request.
when I run the testcase, I see that only blank values are getting transferred. I run the same thing on 2.01 snapshot and it work.
Would it be possible to fix this in 1.7.6 since our dept will wait for 2.01 to stabilize before we migrate.
