Where to define REST authorization?

Hi all, I have to access a REST service that is behind HTTP Basic authentication. I use Ready! API SoapUI NG 1.7.0.

I wonder what is the difference between defining username and password for the endpoint and using the Auth Manager to define an authorization method for my project?
