Struggling with WSDL in SOAPUI - currency and weather give errors
Hello,
I am new to SOAPUI and am trying to perform some tests using the provided WSDLs for currency conversion and weather. When I try to load these into a new SOAP project, I get the following errors:
Weather: Error loading [http://wsf.cdyne.com/WeatherWS/Weather.asmx?WSDL]: org.apache.xmlbeans.XmlException: org.apache.xmlbeans.XmlException: error: Unexpected character encountered: '1
Currency: Error loading [http://www.webservicex.com/currencyconvertor.asmx?WSDL]: org.apache.xmlbeans.XmlException: org.apache.xmlbeans.XmlException: error: Unexpected element: CDAT
Any feedback is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Dan

Hi,
Are you able to access these files outside of Readyapi ? I could not open the files.

Hi Brian,
Thanks for your response. I can't access them with my browser either. These were the suggested URL connections on the SOAPUI website page. It look like they had been updated once since the creation of the instructional video.
Is there any other URL I can call use to get some experience with the SOAPUI tool? Any feedback is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Dan

Group,
Can anyone assist me with getting a WSDL to use for the SOAPUI tutorial training? There are two WSDLs listed but I can't seem to use either one unless I am doing something wrong. Can anyone tell me if the expectation is to copy the WSDL code from these links to my local machine then load this to a SOAPUI project. If so, I don't see how this is possible since the links seem to fail. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Dan

Yo Dan,
I'm in a similar situation myself sadly, trying to learn SoapUI. But the educational support seem pretty non-existent this year based on what I've read from several discussions now.
If you can't get the support you need to learn this tool, it might be time to look elsewhere.
