Hi richie,

While I don't think I can answer your question specifically, it is a bit broad, you do basically have the correct idea. I can't really help with Git, (We use SVN) but have you read this doc page:

Also, have you seen the Ready API Jenkins Plugin:

https://plugins.jenkins.io/soapui-pro-functional-testing

And the associated Ready API DOCs:

I know that this is just a lot of docs to read, but hopefully you'll be able to formulate more specific questions that will be easier to answer.
