Custom background image not visible when using Tabbed desktop

Obviously not a priority issue, but when I select the Tabbed rather than the Default desktop type, the custom background image (soapui-background.gif/jpg/png in the /bin directory) does not appear. I also notice that when using the Tabbed desktop, the background color matches my Windows desktop color.

Is this a bug or just a feature of the UI?
