Add entities to help with Organizing test cases in TestSuite

Currently I need to create empty testcases with a descriptive name to help organize testcases within a testsuite. I would normally create testsuites per functional area, but this becomes an issue when consolidating test suites later.

Could you perhaps add an entity that simply acts as a container for tests within a test suite. This would really make tests more readable and the GUI more usable.

Cheers,
Richard

    Hello,

    thanks for suggestion!

Would you care to add some concrete examples for this,
ie. what would you ideally like to see in soapUI ?

  • I'd ideally like to be able to store tests under the headings (E.G == Validation ==) you see in the file attached.

Functionality wise: I'd like to be able to collapse these when I want to focus on other parts of the test suite.

If you want to deliver 110% The containers could also be used to store certain properties - such as enabling or disabling all the tests within the section. Etc.. >:D

    Hi guys,

as already noted in the other issue - it's in the backlog for prioritization.

    Sorry to keep you waiting.

    regards!

How would this enhancement affect the sequential/parallel execution feature at the test suite level?
