QAComplete Inactive session timeout.

QAComplete Inactive session timeout.

What is the actual inactive session timeout for QAComplete?

The community boards seem to say its 1 hour but the user guide says 2 hours.

However we have had sessions remaining open and "inactive" for well over 2 hours without a forced logout occuring. Is the timeout configurable?/ browser dependent?

Thanks

Hi James,

There is 2-hour hard-coded timeout in the application. So, if a user does not interact with the system over a two-hour time period and an additional license is needed, the user will be automatically logged out both for security purposes and to free up a license. If there is no additional license is needed, the user can remain logged in. The setting doesn't depend on a browser.

Unfortunately, currently, this setting isn't configurable, but we have plans to implement this.

JFYI, if you are a Security Administrator, you can log the user off. Please refer to the following article: Logging Users Off.

Hi,

Do you have an idea when this will be configurable ?  Per the answer sounds like it is hard coded within QAComplete application and not controlled within the database.

Can you please confirm that I can not change the value on the backend table?

If I can not control via a database update , can you give me an idea of when we will be able to have the enhancement.

We recently had a security review of QAComplete and I needed to get a waiver from our security to continue to use QAComplete as the product owner indicated it is coming.  Our secuity requirement is less than 30 minutes (which is alot less than 2 hours).

Thank you.
