Jira Connector: Error - unable to load mapping settings

I am able to successfully connect to Jira and QAComplete and was able to successfully import a few bugs. But when I try and load the mappings tab in the connector I get a "Unable to load mappings settings" error.

Not sure how to proceed.

Thanks

Hi,

Can you check in the Jira tab that you have the correct credentials. If so I would recommend raising a support ticket and they can go through the mappings on your system and verify everything is set up correctly. It may be that you haven't defined the correct custom columns in QAComplete that are in Jira

Custom Columns, huh?  Why would I need custom columns. Isn't the whole point of mapping fields is to do just that. Also I do not see any mention in documentation of this.

Could you post a link where this is discussed?

Thanks

Hi

QAComplete has some defined columns however in Jira columns associated with defects may not necessarily be in QAComplete hence the reason for allowing you to modify the mapping.

In relation to custom columns, please review page 10 of the user guide which discusses custom column.

Thanks for the documentation. I guess what I don't understand is that when I click either of the mappings (Field and User) I get the error. So I have no way to adjust mappings.

Those tabs should not be dependent on predefined "anything" to load. If I have to create fields in both QAComplete and Jira to allow those tabs to load seems very odd. Especially since the User Mappings tab also fails to load.

Hi

If you are getting error trying to access field or user tabs then it may be something to do with the QAComplete or JIRA tabs and the user credentials set up.

Yeah that is what I thought too, though the users i am using have full access , but I'll check again.

Rereading the docs and checking our Jira setup would using an Agile simplified workflow cause this issue.

Hi

In order to advance this issue please create a support ticket and we can look into this further. The agile workflow should not cause the issue
