How to add new test cases in a test run which is in progress?

Hi there,

How do we add new test cases in a test run which is in progress?

We have tried the following steps, the new test case appear in the test set but not in the test run.

1. Test Set created with 15 test cases

2. Run the Test Set

3. Go back to Test Library and Add a new test case

4. Add the test case in the test set - test case added successfully (16 test cases).

5. Continue to run the Test Run - the new test case does not appear (only 15 test cases)

Any suggestions/help is appreciated! Thanks

Hello Samantha,

Thank you for your post. When you click on Run Now, the Test Runner takes a snapshot of the Test in that Set at that point in time, which is intended to preserver the detailed history for that particular run.

This means if you edit the test or test set after starting a run - but not finishing the run - the active run has only what it saw when you started it. You will not see changes until the run is completed and you start the next run.
